Inspired by Pinterest.

Have you ever seen this before?
I have seen it on Facebook and Pinterest
and last night I wanted it done,
This is how it turned out!
My mom used clips to section off the hair
then she did a plain old boring basket weave.
(I wish my hair really did look that red!) :D

Tangles

A few days ago I went swimming with some crazy braids in my hair. HORRIBLE move! (just FYI) I'm lucky I have a patient mama that helped me get some of it out so I could condition it to get it out BEFORE I washed it. My hair is fine and none of it had to be cut out. (thank goodness!) what do you guys do about tangles?
BTW Aussie 3-minute-miracle, works miracles.

Just for fun!

I Had seen this done before and I thought it would be super fun.
So last spring I had my aunt do it to me and my cousin
while we were at McDonald's

We decided to challenge ourselves we were joined at the
back of the head by 2 braids
we went into the McDonald's playland (even though we're a little big for that)
it wasn't quite as fun after tumbling down the slide together.
I think it would be fun to do at girls camp!
I got my sister to do it with me today while i was thinking about it.
We asked our mom to take the picture she quickly snapped it then said
"You can't see her braid"
She hadn't figured it out yet!
Just for fun!

Valentines Day!

So my sister wore this Valentines look to preschool today.
That's right a pony tail with a bow. No big Lacey hearts, flip-over hearts or braided hearts. Just a pony tail and a bow.
Although I have seen all of those done recently on other blogs such as

as well as a TON on Pinterest and all the other hair blogs-except mine.
I feel a little lame that I don't have 400 Valentines hair do's already posted
but this is my first year on Sissy Do's
and these other sites have been going for a couple years but i think that by next Valentines I will have a lot more.

Thick Hair

This last Thursday I tried the Cage Braid on little sisters' hair...
(P.S. She is in gymnastics clothes she doesn't wear that kind of thing every day)
It was so cute and worked well.
But when I recruited my mom  to help me do it to MY hair on Friday, my hair was to thick
and the bobby-pins would not hold.
My hair is much thicker than my sisters' and twice as thick as my best friends.
What do you do?  Suggestions please!
